(no subject)

I am so tired I feel like falling flat on the floor right now.

I'm having a very busy week. Lots of works popping up, it's crazy. I want to take some time off to relax, really I do. But I can't. I just can't afford it. I have a long list of fanfics to read but t the end of the day, when I'm all snuggle up under my blanket, I didn't make it to the first 100-words before I dozed off.

Added to the fatigue, the price for petrol had gone up again today. I was attending (no, not merely attending, I was the exhibitor) an exhibition for the products for my company when the news got to me. By then, my petrol tank was halfway empty (not feeling optimistic now). And seriously, it's not that I don't want to full up my tank, I just bloody can't. People are queuing up all the way for as far as a couple of hundreds meters (like, I dunno, 100 cars queuing up? Yea, just around that). Traffic jam was all over the city. I went out after the exhibition was over around 8.00 pm. I got home (which would usually take me 45 mins on a NORMAL, NON-TRAFFIC JAM day) at 11.45 pm. Met up with more than 3 accidents along the way (some people just loose their patience and try to cut the queue) and more than 10 (I dunno, lost count) breakdown cars. When I got near to my home, I can't proceed, because people are freaking queuing up for the petrol station (there's one near my home) and I can't go through unless I wait up in the queue. I was so bloody tired, my mind only have space for my warm fuzzy blanket and bed. Well, what the fucking hell are these people queuing up for? Do they think they'd make it to the pump in 15 minutes before the clock strikes midnight? Go home for God's sake! You're not going to make it before the price rises up. Go home and save what little petrol you have than wasting it by waiting in the queue NOT moving. I don't know people can be so obsess and shtoo-pit and the same time.

After a lot of breathing in deeply, I saw one car swerve to the other lane (the one where cars were coming towards us). She (at this moment, I want to think that it was a she and that all other males are queuing) turn on the emergency light and proceed slowly through that road. I follow suit since THAT is the only freaking way I can get back home. After the while, the queue ended and I saw a gap where we turn and proceed with the right lane.

Back home, I just want to lie down because my body hurts all over.

This morning, I can't take emergency leave because I have a meeting and I cannot not attend. And right now, I am still not getting enough sleep, my body still hurts, and i have a lot of things to settle before the weekend.

I am so bloody tired and stressed out, right now. I can't wait for the weekend and I've applied for an EL next Monday. I have to before I lash out at everyone. And I don't like a lashing-out me. *sigh*

On a brighter note, I've bought Book 1 and Book 2 of the Sons of Destiny (written by Jean Johnson - the writer who brought me 'In Annulo' (she's publishing!)). I've bought Book 3 last week. Now, if only I could find the time to read them...

Oh, and 'As He Lay in the Dark' is uploaded fully at TPP. :)

Two words. Keith Urban.

That man can sing. Seriously.

But if you ask me, songs that could leave some effects on me would be because of its lyric. And right now, I'm hearing the chorus for 'You'll Think of Me' over and over in my head. Another song that I can relate with past experience with my ex.

Check out the video.

And I've got another song to keep me awake while driving to and back from work.

Quick Update

Just a quick update.

My story 'Morning Ritual' has been validated in TPP.

Here is the link to the story:

Did you know that reviews make me sing 'Pocketful of Sunshine'? Yap, they did. So go on, make me sing! =D

[info]miamadwyn shared this lovely meme tool where it allows you to group together all of your f-list default avvies.

Check out mine below:

I have lactose intolerance. The funny thing was, I only knew I have this from one of my cyberpal (whom I met through a HP discussion forums). I told her how I always suffered when it neared my 'time of the month'. Apparently, that would be the crucial time where your body need calcium the most as blood lost during menstrual period causes your body to need extra nutrient to replace them back.

Ah, enough whining now. Just take it one day at a time, eh?

If you want to know more about Lactose Intolerance, here's a good site:

Proud to be Malaysian

I've been hearing about this project 'Malaysian Artist for Unity' on the radio over the last week as I drive to work. They keep saying, keep on the lookout for the song which will only be launched on Friday, 16th of May.

Blame me for having a mind like a sieve, blame me for anticipating Friday too much (TGIF), but the truth is, the reason why I can't join in the launching is because my workplace had placed internet access block on all websites related to entertainment (and multimedia download, games, chatting room ... yeah, you got the point).

But finally, I heard this song on the radio today and I'M LOVING IT!! Seriously. I was captured from the first singer till the end. I love it since I first heard it. I love the tune, I love the lyrics, I love everything about it. I love the spirit shown. Good job, guys!

Here is the video:

So who cares if our politics are in topsy-turvy, I never like politics in the first place anyway. And know this, whatever shown on the TV screen or newspaper, they were all by minority group only. C'mon, you can't really place your judgment by what's on the screen or paper only. That wouldn't be fair.

Enough of that. Politics make me want to vomit, really. There's no more sincerity in it. Money rule people. It's degrading.

Anyway, if you'd like to find out more about this project, click on the banner below. I hope you won't be disappointed. :)

Busy weekend

I'm having a very busy weekend. The thing is, I have two jobs right now. And most of the time, I commit my weekends to this other job. It's a research assistant for my former thesis supervisor at my uni.

This week, we're having an exhibition for the project. It's very very tiring (imagine explaining your project to different people over and over again from morning till evening), and my back hurt like crazy (been standing for too damn long hours). There's another day to go tomorrow. And before I could rest properly, I have to go back to work on Monday.

Anyway, the good news is this project won Bronze Medal! =D At least the tiresome work paid off a bit ... :) I'll post some pictures from the exhibition when I got some time ...

Oh, and I have another good news!  My story which was beta'd by septentrion1970 had been validated by TPP a few hours ago!

'Doing Compromises'

And uh, did you know that it takes only one minute to leave a review but it'll make me smile for the whole day? ;)

Off to bed now. My whole body aches.

Wait, where's my charger?!!

I went back yesterday after a long day of work at the office. Remember the troublesome client I told you about before? The one who wanted a new service from us in a very short notice? Well, the service went live yesterday and well, we haven't got the time to conduct a full UAT (user acceptance testing) so, yeah. You've guessed it. There're problems. I've been calling up people (technician, database admins, network expert, etc etc) since morning (and I think some of them are getting miffed by my constant calls, they refused to pick up the phone... <_<) and finally, we managed to resolve the problems by lunch time. I was so relieved, I slumped down on my chair. It was an experience I don't want to repeat anytime soon.

But that is one thing. Another thing I want to let out of my system is, when I got home from work and tried to switch on my laptop, I realized that I've left my charger AND battery at work!! Argh!! My immediate thought was 'What? No internet surfing until the next morning?!! I can't use my laptop!! NOO!!!'

I'm telling you, this is worse than Internet connection went caput. Cause, you see, I have saved quite a lot of fanfics in my hard drive and placed them under 'for rainy days' which actually meant something to read when there's no Internet connection. But this is worse, not only I can't surf the Internet, I can't even turn on my laptop!! I'm a laptop geek, I can't live without it for a day. I carry it around with me everywhere I go. I can't even begin to imagine what my live would be like without my laptop. My office is a one-hour drive. By the time I got there and return back, it's already time to sleep.

I was beginning to list out things I could do while morning comes. Heh, all of a sudden, the books I have by the table lamp look very temptatious.

So, I went down to have dinner and later prepare for bed. Yesh. Usually, I would sit around browsing the Internet, but last night, when I got back from dinner, it's already time for bed. LOL. I don't make it a habit to watch TV, least I get caught up with a TV series and then I'd be waiting in front of the screen every single week. My work is very unpredictable, unfortunately I can't afford that kind of luxury... ;)

Anyway, I turn to pick out a book and turn on the table lamp and started reading. (Need to go back several pages to refresh my mind).

As I get to the page I last read, I was so sleepy and five minutes later, I was sleeping.

I can't believe I was freaking out by not having anything to do last night and then picked up a book and went straight to dreamland not ten minutes later.

Do you think my body is trying to tell me something that my brain doesn't want to listen? :P

Never Let You Go

I've submitted another story in TPP. It's not a long one -- in fact, it was an entry in GrangerSnape100 one week ago.

The thing is, it could be uploaded into the archive a couple of days early, but I forgot to reply the admin of TPP that I've made the corrections asked. And there I was, waited like crazy for the validation email from them. I feel so shtoo-pid now. >_<

I have a couple more stories to submit, but I'm still waiting for my beta to return them back to me. It's been a while and I hope she's doing okay. She's moving out to a new place a couple of weeks back. Poor thing, she must be knackered out each night and there I was asking her to beta my stories. She'd done a great job with 'Fulfilling A Yearning' and I really want her to stay as my beta...

Anyway, I find that review can make all ugly monsters in my head (aka emo feeling) disappear, so please be an angel and leave me a review. =)

It's not long, just about 300 words and you can find it here:

A Very Long List to Push the Rant Down the Page :)

I posted just now to insert the result from the 'Which Alan Rickman's illustrations are you?' (or something like that) that I was linked by sc010f. But I'm still confuse with the coding and how to embed the results in post. Anyway, the post get wonky and weird tags popped out of nowhere and the more I tried to fix it, the wonkier it gets, so in the end I gave up and delete the whole bloody thing away. :P

But I want to post something. I don't feel good leaving the ranting on top of the page for too long, people might think I'm cranky or sumfink, soo... hehe.

I saw this list on DeviantArt posted by Cruel-Crush (have you seen her drawings, anyway? ALL of them are awesome! Seriously.) and I thought it'll be great to have on my LJ. Quite a summary of what I like and don't like about HP.

That's a very long list. I can feel my brain shutting down now. LOL.

Since I don't have many f-list, I invite all of you to join in this list as well. Can't wait to read y'all answers! :)
